81 Year-Old Man’s Murder Disclosed; Two Persons Arrested
In the result of urgent investigatory actions conducted in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder of the resident of Ejmiatsin town was disclosed. Two persons were arrested.
On April 13, 2019 at 18:30 a report was received in Police Division of Vagharshapat from a resident of Ejmiatsin informing that he could not get in contact with his wife's father – the resident of the same town, born in 1938.
In the result of necessary measures it was found out that 81 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin had become a victim of murder.
Pursuant to initial data, on April 12, 2019 from 21:00 to 23:30 the persons having committed the alleged crime, with the purpose of willful deprivation of 81 year-old man’s life combined with banditry, entered one of the apartments of the house located on Mashtots Street, Ejmiatsin, tied the latter with a sticky tape, with the purpose of swindling property messed up the apartment then hit the man with a blunt rough item on the vital organ – head causing the latter’s death.
In order to go on with their criminal intention the same persons entered the brandy shop which belonged to the 81 year-old man located on the same street then stole his car of «Lexus RX 330» make from the garage.
On April 13, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified; one of them was a female resident of Ejmiatsin town, born in 1990, the other – a resident of Ararat province, born in 1971. They were arrested on suspicion of committing murder combined with banditry.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
