Criminal Case Initiated on Violation of Ceasefire by Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Firing Shots along Entire Line of Border, towards Combat Bases from Weapons of Several Calibers
A criminal case was initiated in General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on illegal deprivation of life of two and more servicemen of the RA Ministry of Defense and the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism, in a way dangerous for many people’s lives related to carrying out their service duties, willful destruction, spoilage of property committed by the enemy.
On 27 September, 2020 at about 07:15 the leadership of the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized and with several subdivisions of the armed forces carried out large-scale attack along the entire line of the border towards the permanent locations of combat bases and military units of the RA Ministry of Defense and Defense Army.
As a result, servicemen of the Defense Army have been killed and injured by the shots fired from weapons of several calibers, including military aviation, strike drones, armored vehicles and various missile-artillery means. Constructions of permanent locations of a number of military units, combat positions, military property and other weapons have also been willfully destroyed by explosion or in another way dangerous for public causing damage in particularly large amount.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Points 1, 2, 6, 7 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code. By the decision of the Head of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee A. Krkyasharyan an investigatory group headed by Deputy Head of General Military Investigative Department A. Aslanyan was formed to conduct preliminary investigation. He was instructed to receive the case in his proceeding, to organize the work of the investigators involved in the group and to control their activities.
