Circumstances of murder and murder attempt committed as a result of shooting near the “Paradise Hotel” located at the administrative district of Shengavit in the late evening of December 9, 2022 are being found out.

On December 9, 2022 at 23:55 a call was received from “Erebuni” medical center informing that 31 and 27 year-old men with a diagnosis of “firearm injury” were taken to medical center from Bagratunyats 54, Yerevan. One of them died without regaining consciousness.

A criminal proceeding was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 44-155, the Part 1 of the Article 155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.

A decision was made to assign the preliminary investigation to the investigative group.

Through the inspection of the scene a fired ball, capsules were found on the ground, blood-like traces were found on the cars at the scene.

Numerous people were questioned. Within the framework of the criminal proceeding forensic medical, forensic trace, forensic chemical and forensic ballistic expertise were commissioned.

Evidential, procedural actions are conducted, operative-intelligence measures are taken to find out all circumstances, the motive of the alleged crime and to identify the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
