Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder attempt against two or more persons in a way dangerous for many people’s life committed on the bridge of Akhtala in Alaverdi town was completed in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Alaverdi V. Antonyan.  
 

It was earlier informed that on October 11, 2015 at the bridge of Akhtala shots were fired towards “Hummer” and “Nissan Teana 280 JK” in motion. A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department and by the instruction of the RA Investigative Committee the further investigation of the criminal case was conducted in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

In the result of investigatory and procedural actions of great volume it was found that on the day of the incident – on the evening of October 11, 2015 at about 20:30 the resident of Lori region V. Antonyan while driving in his acquaintance’s car together with him in Tumanyan street of Alaverdi town saw the cars “Hummer” which belonged to the resident of the same region V. Abgaryan and “Nissan Teana 280 JK” which belonged to the latter’s friend A. Mnatsakanyan.
 

Through preliminary investigation sufficient data were obtained on the allegation that V. Antonyan pursued them then reaching the 16^th km of Alaverdi-Tbilisi road – on the bridge of Akhtala with the purpose of killing, in a way dangerous for many people’s life fired numerous shots from the rifle he had taken with him towards the two cars in motion. However, he could not accomplish the crime under unforeseen circumstances; the shots hit several parts of “Hummer”.
 

It was also found that at that moment instead of the owner of “Hummer” the latter’s friend Edward Poghosyan was in the car, however because it was a late hour and the car windows were tinted V. Antonyan had not noticed that V. Abgaryan was not in the car.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against V. Antonyan according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code (murder attempt in a way dangerous for many people’s life) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, carrying, transportation or keeping of weapon).
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
 

PS. During preliminary investigation of the mentioned criminal case it became known that on May 19, 2016 shots were fired towards Edward Poghosyan with the purpose of killing. On May 21, 2016 the latter died in the result of bodily injuries he had sustained. Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on his murder is ongoing.
