Through criminal proceeding initiated on August 15, 2024 in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that on the same day G.G. killed his mother with a knife and fled.

In the result of large-scale investigative and evidentiary actions conducted in the course of preliminary investigation it was found out that on August 14 at mother’s initiative the son was in psychiatric hospital. Then being at his family’s residence, out of revenge, G.G. stabbed his mother for at least 27 times on different parts of her body, he also cut her vital organ, neck. As a result, mother was illegally deprived of life.

According to the appointed forensic psychiatric expertise, G.G. was recognized as sane.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against the latter according to the Points 6 and 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was imposed as a pretrial measure against G.G..

On December 30, 2024 the criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
