On May 16 the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan held a meeting in Shirak Regional Investigative Department and in the 10^th Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department.

Davit Arushanyan, Governor of Shirak, Arman Aslanyan, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Gagik Markosyan and Ashot Zhamkochyan, Deputies Head of General Department for Control over Activity of Territorial Investigative Departments, Arman Galstyan, Head of General Department on Special Assignments, Aghasi Isahakyan, Head of Shirak Regional Investigative Department, Levon Petrosyan, Head of the 10^th Garrison Investigative Unit, Armen Chichoyan, Prosecutor of the region, Garik Hayrapetyan, Military Prosecutor of the Garrison, heads of the regional structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service, investigators of the regional investigative department and garrison investigative unit were also present at the meeting held in Shirak Regional Investigative Department.

Aghasi Isahakyan presented the work done by Shirak Regional Investigative Department in 2024, as well as in the first quarter of 2025.

In 2024 4.831 criminal proceedings were investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department, 483 of which had been transferred from 2023.

Out of 4.831 criminal proceedings 3.389 criminal proceedings were resolved, 2.198 of which had a procedural outcome, 520 of which on 592 people with the bill of indictment were sent to court, 1.678 criminal proceedings were terminated, 1.540 of which on rehabilitative, 138 on non-rehabilitative base, 323 were combined, 90 were sent to other structure, 778 were deactivated.

In 2024 the average workload of an investigator has made 167 criminal proceedings in Shirak Regional Investigative Department.

In the reporting period 3923 reports on apparent crime were received in the regional investigative department, on 3297 of which a criminal proceeding was initiated.

In 2024 the amount of the pecuniary damage caused within the criminal proceedings sent to court, as well as terminated on non-rehabilitative base has made 81 million 314 thousand AMD, 23 million 122 thousand AMD of which has been recovered.

In 2024 32 criminal proceedings were investigated on cases of crimes committed by minors, 5 of which with the bill of indictment were sent to court, 4 were terminated, 5 were registered as ones within which the necessary procedural and evidentiary actions have been completed, 1 was combined, 1 was sent to other structure, 16 were transferred to January, 2025.

In the period 199  criminal proceedings were investigated on cases of crimes committed against minors, 6 of which were sent to court, 80 were terminated, 67 were registered as ones within which the necessary procedural and evidentiary actions have been completed, 3 were combined, 1 was sent to other structure, 42 were transferred to January, 2025.

In 2024 25 criminal proceedings were investigated on corruption-related crimes, 4 of which were terminated, 1 was combined, 7 were sent to other structure, 13 were transferred to the first term of 2025.

Between January 1 and May 1, 2025 381 criminal proceedings, which had been investigated for more than 1 year, were resolved, 55 of which with the bill of indictment were sent to court, 253 were terminated, 23 were combined, 6 were sent to other structure, 44 were deactivated. As of May 1, there were 217criminal proceedings investigated for more than 1 year

In the first quarter of 2025 2.337 criminal proceedings have been investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department, 1442 of which had been transferred from December, 2024.

Out of 2.337 criminal proceedings investigated in the first quarter of 2025, 733 criminal proceedings were resolved, 518 of which had a procedural outcome, 143 of which with the bill of indictment or a final act were sent to court, 127 were deactivated, 67 were combined, 21 were sent to other structure.

Levon Petrosyan, Head of the 10^th Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department presented the work done in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

In the reporting period 522 criminal proceedings were investigated by the investigators of the subdivision, 273 of which were completed.

In 2024 332 reports were received on 322 of which a criminal proceeding was initiated.

Within criminal proceedings sent to court in 2024 pecuniary damage in the amount of 2 million705 thousand AMD was caused to the state, which has been fully recovered in the course of preliminary investigation.

In the first quarter of 2025 295 criminal proceedings were investigated, 89 reports were received on 85 of which a criminal proceeding was initiated.

During the meeting Artur Poghosyan instructed to focus on crimes committed by or against minors, to find out the reasons and conditions behind the crimes in each case, to submit motions to the competent bodies in that direction.

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee underlined that there is a huge amount of work to be done in the region to recover the damage caused to the state within criminal proceedings in the field of illegal tree felling and mining.

As a result of the meeting there have been personnel changes.
