In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee as well as measures taken by the RA Police a number of circumstances of murder of 47 year-old resident of Yerevan were found out.

The call on the mentioned case was received on August 12, 2022 at 07:55 informing that there was a woman with an injury on the head lying on the ground at the back part of one of the houses of Davtashen 1 district of Yerevan.

Through inspection of the scene conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code 47 year-old woman’s body with bodily injuries and blood-like traces on the head was found. Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned and according to its initial conclusion the pathological condition leading to death was mechanical suffocation.

In the result of taken necessary measures the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified; they are residents of Yerevan, born in 1981, 1982, 1987.

Charge was pressed against them according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
