In the result of large-scale investigative and procedural actions conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, the motive of murder, infliction of bodily injuries and hooliganism committed in Yerevan on January 6 were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 2004.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on January 3, 2023 in P. Sevak Street the above-mentioned 18 year-old young man made a remark to a group of young men for making profane expressions after which there was a fight between him and his friends and the mentioned young men.

Pursuant to the arrangement reached beforehand, on January 6, 2023 at about 16:00 18 year-old young man and his friends met the mentioned young men at the crossroad of P.Sevak and Rubinyants Streets for clarification of the above-mentioned matter. During the argument 18 year-old young man stabbing one of those young men illegally deprived him of life and caused bodily injuries to three of them.

On the base of the obtained evidence a motion was submitted to the prosecutor supervising the pretrial proceeding to initiate a criminal prosecution against the 18 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 and the Part 3 of the Article 297 of RA Criminal Code. It was sufficed. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
