Investigation is conducted in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of shots fired towards Artur Harutyunyan’s flat.

On July 27, 2017 at 14:25 a call was received informing that there are traces of shots on the window and walls of the apartment of one of the houses of the second micro-region of Abovyan town.

Through preliminary investigation it was found that the apartment belongs to Artur Harutyunyan (nickname Palach), born in 1975, who has left Armenia together with his family and the flat key is at his brother.

Inspection of the site was conducted, forensic merchandising, trace and ballistic examinations were commissioned.  

A criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find all circumstances, as well as to identify the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
