As a result of preliminary investigation conducted in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was grounded that between July 7, 2025 and April 24, 2026 A.S. periodically caused strong physical pain and mental sufferance to his wife. 

Through investigation it was also found out that on April 24, 2026 during another argument, he threw his wife out of the moving car, causing heavy damage to her health. The aforementioned acts were committed in the presence of their 4-year-old daughter, as a result of which strong mental sufferance was caused to the child. 

In the course of the preliminary investigation, by the supervising prosecutor’s decision, public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.S. according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 196 (4 counts), the Points 3, 6 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 196 (4 counts), and the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 166 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was referred to the supervising prosecutor.
