70 Paintings Confiscated from Gagik Khachatryan will henceforth be made Accessible to Public: the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and the Prosecutor General visited the National Gallery

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan, the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, and the RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan visited the “National Gallery of Armenia” SNCO. 

The heads of the agencies viewed on site the exhibition of paintings confiscated within the framework of the criminal proceeding from Gagik Khachatryan, former Chairman of the State Revenue Committee and former Minister of Finance. As a result of investigative actions, the paintings were entrusted for safekeeping to the “National Gallery of Armenia” SNCO.

These cultural treasures will henceforth be accessible to the public.

It should be noted that a total of 70 paintings confiscated and examined within the framework of the criminal proceeding regarding Gagik Khachatryan were recognized as material evidence by a decision dated September 11, 2026, and entrusted to the National Gallery for safekeeping.
