On April 12, 2020 at 21:35 a call was received from Gyumri medical center informing that a 20 year-old resident of Gyumri with «cut wounds on the right and left thighs, acute bleeding, hemorrhagic hypovolemic shock” was taken to them.

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of heavy bodily damage) it was found out that on April 12, 2020 at about 20:30 a row erupted between fellow citizens near the supermarket located in Musayelyan Street during which 22 year-old young man stabbed his fellow citizen and left.

On the same day 22 year-old young man turned himself to the investigative body and gave self-incriminating testimony.  The latter was arrested as a suspect. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
