Within the criminal case initiated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against 21 year-old resident of Syunik.

On January 6, 2019 at 17:50 a call was received in Sisian division of the Police from “Sisian Medical Center” CJSC informing that murder was committed in Brnakot village of Sisian community of Syunik province.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on January 6, 2019 at about 17:00 in one of the houses of Brnakot village during the argument on domestic matters the resident, born in 1997, held a kitchen knife to his father's neck - a resident of Syunik, born in 1967, and damaged him.  

Then he hit 51 year-old man twice with a brick put on the oven after which he stabbed his father on the chest four times with another kitchen knife willfully depriving him from life.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Sisian Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day at 23:20 21 year-old young man was arrested on suspicion of committing murder.

On January 9, 2019 charge was pressed against the resident of Syunik, born in 1997, according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Inspections of the scene and body were conducted. The knives were taken from the scene and confiscated. Forensic medical examination and forensic medical examination of the body were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is conducted.
