On August 21, 2020 the resident of Ararat province submitted a report informing that in summer, 2019 and August, 2020 their 21 year-old neighbor committed violent sexual actions against her 6 year-old son.

A criminal case was initiated in Artashat Police Division according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 139 (violent sexual actions) of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through investigation it was found out that 21 year-old resident of Ararat province in summer 2019 at the grass hay next to his house and in August 2020 in the cellar of his house committed violent sexual actions against 6 year-old child.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old young man according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 139 (violent sexual actions) of RA Criminal Code. The latter was detained.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
