In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee 30 year-old woman's murder was disclosed.

Pursuant to initial data, on May 9, 2019 at 00:45 a call was received in Masis Division of the Police informing that a young woman, beaten, was taken to Masis medical center who was probably dead.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for hospital.

Through inspection of the scene – on the left seat of the back part of the car of «Mitsibishi Pajero Io» make parked in front of the entrance of the medical center a woman's body with traces of violence was found.

A criminal case was initiated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which was tasked to the investigatory group.

In the result of necessary investigatory actions the body was identified; it was 30 year-old woman who, according to initial data, did not have a permanent residence.

In the result of investigatory, operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Armavir, born in 1993. The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing murder and gave confessional testimony. According to it, on the evening of May 8, 2019 at the area adjacent to Ayntap village of Ararat province he beat the 30 year-old woman – his old acquaintance with a rubber pipe, wooden blackjack and other items. The latter died of the bodily injuries she had sustained after which the person having committed the alleged crime took her body to Masis medical center in his car.

Inspection of the scene was conducted with participation of 26 year-old young man during which the crime tools – rubber pipe, broken wooden blackjack, the items that allegedly belonged to the victim, blood like traces were found.

The clothes the victim and the suspect were wearing were confiscated, samples were taken, a number of forensic examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
