33 Year-Old Man Charged with Manufacture, Sale and Keeping of Counterfeited Money

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on manufacture, sale or keeping of counterfeited money was completed in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 33 year-old resident of Armavir.

In the result of investigatory and procedural actions circumstances, the way of manufacture of counterfeited money were found out.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation the resident of Armavir, born in 1985, decided to manufacture counterfeited banknotes with nominal value of 5.000 AMD.

For this purpose in January, 2014 in his house he manufactured 2 banknotes with nominal value of 5.000 AMD from paper of A4 format by copying with color jet printer and kept them in the house.

Pursuant to data obtained during pretrial proceeding, on November 15, 2018 33 year-old man lent one of the counterfeited banknotes to another resident of the same province and kept the second one with him.

On the base of sufficient evidence obtained through the criminal case charge was pressed against the resident of Armavir province, born in 1985, according to the Part 1 of the Article 202 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
