In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the case of inflicting heavy firearm injury to a man in Gavar was revealed, charge was pressed.

In the night of December 2, 2017 at 04:22 a call was received informing that the resident of Gavar, born in 1983, with firearm injury, fracture of the lower third part of the left thigh was taken to medical center.  

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, the man was found an injured party.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gegharkunik, born in 1988.

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that 34 year-old man together with a group of residents of his region took part in a ceremony in one of the restaurants in Yerevan during which a row erupted which went on in Gavar town. One of those involved in the argument armed with a pistol went to the area of one of the gas stations located in Gavar town to clarify the dispute issues erupted in Yerevan with 34 year-old man where he fired at the latter's left thigh inflicting heavy bodily damage.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the man, born in 1988, according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 and the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
