In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to a relative were found out. Charge was pressed against 28 year-old young man.

Pursuant to initial data, on November 10, 2019 at about 21:30 a call was received in Kotayk Police Division from “Abovyan” medical center informing that 34 year-old resident of Abovyan with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced injury on the abdomen, straight and small intestine” was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 34 year-old man was found the injured party.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that 34 year-old man had sustained bodily injuries on November 10, 2019 at about 18:30 during the argument that took place in his relative’s house in Abovyan town.

In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions circumstances of the incident, including the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Abovyan town, born in 1991. The knife that was the crime tool was confiscated.

Charge was pressed against the latter according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
