10 kg Narcotic Drugs Smuggled to the RA; 2 Persons Detained
In the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes on Human Trafficking, against Sexual Immunity of Juveniles and Illegal Turnover of Drugs of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that with the intent to sell, a foreign citizen, procured narcotic drugs in particularly large amount – 10 kg “Methamphetamine” and transported to the RA.
Then, another foreign citizen, having learned about the location of 10 kg of drugs, illegally procured them. However, as a result of joint operative-intelligence measures taken together with the employees of the State Revenue Committee and National Security Service, the crime was not committed, the citizen was arrested.
Public criminal prosecution was initiated against E.N. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 44-393 of RA Criminal Code, and against N.A. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393 and the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 399 of RA Criminal Code.
Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against E.N. and N.A..
The criminal proceeding on their part with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
