Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Initiated on Murder Attempt Committed by Son against Father Completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on murder attempt committed by minor son against father was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
As a result of investigative and procedural actions conducted within the criminal proceeding, it was found out that the minor son, out of revenge for his father's repeated insults to his mother and previous beatings, inflicted more than a dozen blows with a kitchen knife on various parts of his sleeping father's body, causing numerous bodily injuries, but the crime was not completed under unforeseen circumstances, as father woke up and snatched the knife from his son's hands.
Public criminal prosecution was initiated against the minor according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 of RA Criminal Code.
The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
