Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Initiated on Causing Heavy Bodily Injury to Foreign National Committed on October 20, 2024 Completed

Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on inflicting heavy bodily injury to a foreign national committed on October 20, 2024 in Hrazdan Gorge was completed in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding it was found out that in Hrazdan gorge during the argument on personal matters H.Ye. stabbed the foreign national with a cutting-piercing item, causing tha latter life-threatening bodily damage.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against H.Ye. according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 166 of RA Criminal Code.
The latter was detained.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
