In 2022-2024 Person Committed Pimping; Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Completed

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that in 2022-2024 A.A. committed pimping; for selfish purposes, he involved his partner in prostitution, regularly performing sexual acts with an unspecified group of people for payment.

Besides, A.A. regularly subjected his partner to psychological influence, making threats of murder and harm to her health, humiliating her honor and dignity, hitting her several times with hands, and later stalking her.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.A. according to the Part 1 of the Article 298, the Point 1 of the Part 1 of the Article 171, the Part 1 of the Article 194 and the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 196.1 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
