In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, it was found out that N.D. together with his friends A.Z. and G.Z., with the aim of hunting a rock partridge, on October 29, 2025, drove his car to an area known as “Jafari Gorge” near Mozrov settlement in Vayots Dzor region, where, using an illegally acquired rifled hunting firearm, he unlawfully hunted a bezoar goat that is not included in the list of the appendix of the order of the RA Minister of Environment, dated August 20, 2025, and is listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia, thereby causing property damage to the state in the amount of 3 million AMD.  

Then, G.Z. and A.Z., heading toward the hunted animal, found it and moved it to the bank of a stream in the gorge, where, helping each other, they skinned , placed it in polyethylene bags, then moved, loaded it into the car, and headed toward the city of Yeghegnadzor. However, on their way back, noticing a vehicle and suspecting that police officers might be in it, in order to conceal the traces of the crime, they took the firearm used as the instrument of the crime and the bags out of the car and threw them into an inconspicuous place.   
          
Public criminal prosecution was initiated against N.D. according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 386 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code, against G.Z. and A.Z. - according to the Part 1 of the Article 474 of RA Criminal Code. 

During the preliminary investigation the damage caused to the state has been recovered. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
