As it was already informed, preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding on false crime reporting and organizing false crime reporting regarding surrendering the combat position located in the direction of the city of Jermuk, is conducted  in General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the course of the preliminary investigation public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.Kh. according to the Part 1 of the Article 476 of RA Criminal Code. 

In the presented accusation, A.Kh. pled guilty and expressed remorse for providing false information about allegedly surrendering the combat position located in the Jermuk direction to the adversary.  He explained that, while under the influence of alcohol, he attended a gathering organized by N.K., where he met A.A. Being aware of his social difficulties,  A.A. immediately arranged an interview with a journalist on May 20, 2026.

A.Kh. mentioned that earlier, from April 17 to May 8, 2026, he assumed combat duty as an observer at the N combat position of Jermuk military unit. He had been sober during the days of combat duty.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
