61 Year-Old Woman's Stabbing Disclosed

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on willful infliction of heavy bodily injury to another person.

On February 2, 2019 at 13:45 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1986, called the operative management center of the RA Police and told that he had injured a person near «Haycoop» base.

On the same day at 15:05 a call was received in the Police Division of Erebuni from one of the medical centers informing that a female resident of Yerevan, born in 1957, with a diagnosis of «cut-pierced penetrating wound on the frontal part of the chest» was taken to them by the ambulance group N 42.

Pursuant to the latter she had been caused the bodily injury in the house located on Arin Berd Street, Yerevan by her nephew.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The woman, born in 1957, was found the injured party.

Through inspection of the scene conducted during preliminary investigation blood like traces were found and taken. The clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated.

On February 2 at 15:20 the woman's nephew – the resident of Yerevan, born in 1986, was apprehended on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime.

The latter was arrested, gave confessional testimony and presented the knife which, was the crime tool, mentioning that he had stabbed his aunt with a kitchen knife during the row erupted on apartment possession.

Forensic medical, forensic biological, forensic trace examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
