A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on battering 12 year-old child in the yard of the house 90, Araratyan Street.

On August 30, 2015 the grandfather of 12 year-old child submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 16:00 in the yard of the house 90, Araratyan Street, Yerevan the resident of Yerevan M. Sargsyan battered his 12 year-old grandson, born on 23.08. 2003, inflicting him bodily damages as the latter had hit his son with a hand.

Taking into consideration that in the materials there is a reason for initiation of a criminal case envisaged by law, a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee pursuant to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code.

Forensic medical examination was appointed against the 12 year-old child.

During preliminary investigation the video of the mentioned day captured by the cameras located in the mentioned area was presented.

Preliminary investigation is conducted. Necessary investigatory and procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.
