A criminal case initiated on crash that involved “Ural” belonging to a military unit

A criminal case was initiated in the Seventh garrison investigative unit of General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on crash which involved a “Ural” with military plate belonging to a military unit N of RA Ministry of Defense.

On April 17, 2015 at about 17:00 the car “Ural” with military plate of the unit N of RA Ministry of Defense on the 19^th km of Spitak-Yerevan road on the first turn of Spitak went out on the opposite side of the road and fell into the canyon.

In the result of the crash eight of nine soldiers in the car sustained bodily injuries of different gravity. The serviceman Artyom Torosyan died.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 2 of the Article 377 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigatory measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
