A criminal case initiated on squander of EU grants in particularly large amount
A criminal case was initiated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee on squander of EU grants in particularly large amount.
The inspection results conducted by the Finance, Contracts and Audit Section of European Union Delegation were received in the Investigative Committee. According to them the grant given to an Armenian organization in the framework of EU project was not used for the purpose intended and money in particularly large amount was squandered.
A criminal case was initiated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 179 of RA Criminal Code.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Detailed information shall not be published in this stage of investigation out of interests of preliminary investigation of the criminal case.
Additional information on procedural decisions made on the base of investigation results will be provided.
