A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on willful destruction of property of Head of “Vanadzor” penitentiary G. Mkrtchyan through explosion.
 

On October 9, 2016 a call was received from Head of “Vanadzor” penitentiary Gevorg Mkrtchyan informing that he heard a sound of explosion from the ground floor of his house.
 

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site and conducted urgent investigatory and procedural actions to find the circumstances of the case.
 

According to initial data on October 9, 2016 at about 02:00 the person having committed the apparent crime pulled the grenade ring and threw at G. Mkrtchyan’s office car “VAZ 2121” with plate number 096 ՏՏ 032 parked on the ground floor of the latter’s house located in Vanadzor town. In the result of explosion the angular section of concrete floor of the ground floor, as well as the mentioned car was damaged.
 

Through inspection of the site grenade debris, a spring, a metal piece of starter and a ring were found.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 185 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

G. Mkrtchyan was found an injured party and interrogated. Forensic explosion technical, forensic trace, forensic engineering and merchandising complex examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case. A plan of investigatory actions and operative-searching measures was developed, working hypotheses were drawn and investigation is conducted to verify them.   
 

The relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to carry out necessary operative-searching actions to identify the person having committed the apparent crime and bring him to the investigative body.
