In the result of investigatory and procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of 25 year-old Vladimir Karapetyan’s murder were found, the persons having committed the apparent crime was identified.

Earlier it was informed that on the morning of August 18, 2015 on the sofa of the living-room the body of the resident of the same house, Vladimir Karapetyan born in 1990 with injuries on the head was found.

On August 18, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (Murder).

Through investigation the motive of the crime was found, the tool of the crime was discovered, as well. According to data of preliminary investigation, the 25 year-old man was murdered with an axe on the morning of August 17, 2015. On August 18 the latter’s brother K. Karapetyan was arrested on suspicion of killing V. Karapetyan. He was interrogated in lawyer’s presence and testified on the case.

Additional inspection of the scene was conducted with participation of the suspect during which he presented the axe which was the crime tool, as well as the clothes he was wearing at the moment of murder. They were confiscated, expertise was commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
