Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder attempt against the governor of Syuniq is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee, necessary investigative, procedural and operative-searching measures are taken to find all the circumstances of the case, as well as to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
 

It was earlier informed that on May 20 at about 18:15 at the 30^th km of Kapan – Goris road shots were fired in the direction of “Lexus LX 570” in which the governor of Syuniq region, Surik Khachatryan, his assistant and driver were.
 

Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that through inspection of the scene 19 capsules, 3 ball cores were found.
 

A number of working hypotheses have been developed and necessary actions are conducted to check them, a number of persons have been and are being interrogated.
 

Samples were taken from the governor of Syuniq, the persons who were in the car, as well as some of the interrogated persons, expertise were appointed to find the presence of traces of gunfire products.
