Abuses during Construction and Renovation Work of Stadiums and Sport Schools; Decisions on Two Persons' Arrest Made
In the result of investigatory and procedural actions of great volume conducted jointly with employees of General Department of Fight against Organized Crime of the RA Police within the criminal case investigated in the Department of Investigation of General and Election-Related Crimes of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee on abuses committed during construction of stadiums by «Zeytun Furniture Factory» OJSC which actually belongs to the former President of «Armenian Football Federation» Ruben Hayrapetyan by the order of “Armenian Football Federation” data were obtained on abuse of official position, swindling in particularly large amount by cheating from the client “Armenian Football Federation” committed by the director of contractor «Zeytun Furniture Factory» OJSC having performed construction and renovation work of stadiums and sport schools in the administrative district of Sisian, Sevan, Vanadzor, Armavir, Vagharshapat, Gyumri and Nerqin Karmir Aghbyur communities within the contractor agreements signed during cooperation with “Armenian Football Federation” from 2012 to 2018 and the employee performing technical supervision over that work.
Considering that through the criminal case evidence were obtained on committing criminal acts envisaged by the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 178 and the Part 2 of the Article 325 of RA Criminal Code by the director of «Zeytun Furniture Factory» OJSC and AFF technical supervisor, decisions on their arrest were made the implementation of which was tasked to the employees of General Department of Fight against Organized Crime of the RA Police.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case, to find out the whole volume of abuses, to reveal others having committed the alleged crime and to bring them to criminal liability.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
