Investigation is conducted in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of willful infliction of heavy bodily injury to 62 year-old man during an argument.

On November 26, 2019 at 12:20 a call was received from “Armavir” medical center informing that the resident of Armavir, born in 1957, with a diagnosis of “open multi-fragmented fracture of both bones of left leg with bone defect” was taken to medical center. The latter told that he had sustained the injury while working in the garden.

Pursuant to initial data, on the mentioned day at about 12:00 in the field located on the right side of the road from Arevik village to Aalshkert village, an argument took place between 62 year-old man and his 45 year-old fellow villager during which the latter fired a shot with a rifle of “AK 74” of 5.45mm caliber towards 62 year-old man’s foot causing an injury.

Besides, data were obtained on the allegation that a row also erupted between the supporters of those involved in the argument who had come with them to the scene.

At the same time, it was also found out that those involved in the incident broke the windscreen and the side glass of the car of “Opel” make located at the scene causing the car owner pecuniary  damage.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Armavir Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112, the Part 1 of the Article 235 and the Part 1 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code. 62 year-old man was found the injured party.

Inspection of the scene was conducted during which two fired capsules of 5.45mm caliber, 1 bullet, broken woods, broken glasses of car and blood traces were found, samples were taken, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated.

Forensic medical, as well as forensic ballistic examination was commissioned to find out the gravity degree of the injury and a number of circumstances significant for the case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out the whole frame of those involved, to personalize their actions, to give criminal legal assessment, to find those involved as well as the pistol. Instructions were given to the relevant subdivisions of the Police.
