Arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife (Photos)
A criminal case was initiated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of Alaverdi, S. Konyan.
On July 26, 2015 at 08:55 Police station of Tumanyan received a call from “Alaverdi medical center” CJSC informing that S. Konyan’s body was found in her apartment. On the same day at 09:05 S. Stepanyan surrendered and told that on July 26, 2015 at about 08:20 he stabbed his wife in the mentioned apartment as she had been unfaithful to him.
Through the inspection of the scene the tool of the crime – the knife was found.
A criminal case was initiated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (illegal willful deprivation of one’s life).
S. Stepanyan is arrested.
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
