A criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on using violence against the representative of authorities.
 

On June 18, 2015 two inspectors of the sixth officer company of the second battalion of RA Traffic Police were conducting service in a service car on Yerevanyan road of Yeghegnadzor town.
 

Implementing their duties, at about 19:10 the inspectors stopped “Kia Cerato” and demanded the driver’s documents as the latter was travelling without fastening the seatbelt.
 

According to the evidence obtained through investigation the driver did not obey the legal demands of the police officers, argued with them, scolded and dragged them using violence not dangerous for health and life.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code. On June 19 the driver of “Kia Cerato” was arrested on suspicion of using violence against the police officers not dangerous for life and health.
 

Forensic medical examinations were appointed against the inspectors and the suspect. Blood sample was taken from M. Avetisyan and forensic biological examination was appointed.
 

Preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and objective examination of the circumstances of the case.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
