Artur Poghosyan, Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, received today Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia.

Greeting the Ambassador, Artur Poghosyan highlighted the high level of cooperation established between the RA Investigative Committee and the IRI Embassy to the RA, especially in terms of international-legal cooperation.

The IRI Ambassador to the RA expressed gratitude for the meeting's initiative. Attaching importance to multi-sectoral relations between the two countries, Mehdi Sobhani emphasized the joint efforts made by the Investigaitve Committee and Embassy aimed at resolving the issues.

During the meeting the Chairman of the Investigative Committee referred to flexible mechanisms for cooperation in the fight against transnational crimes, which have contributed to the rapid exchange of information on urgent issues arising in the criminal justice sector and their effective resolution.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues related to exchanging relevant information about citizens within criminal proceedings of both countries, increasing the efficiency of the fulfillment of investigative queries.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reconfirmed their willingness to cooperate in the field of justice.
