Artur Poghosyan, Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee received today the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia George Sharvashidze.

Greeting the Ambassador, Artur Poghosyan attached importance to the relations established between the two countries in the framework of international cooperation.

The Ambassador of Georgia to the RA expressed gratitude for the meeting initiative. George Sharvashidze highlighted the close cooperation between the investigative bodies of the RA and Georgia.

During the meeting the Chairman of the Investigative Committee referred to the effective fulfillment of legal requirements within the framework of legal mutual assistance, particularly the rapid exchange of information on citizens of both countries.

Artur Poghosyan also referred to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the investigative bodies of the two countries, which aims at ensuring exchange of the best experience in the sphere of investigation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to take active steps to resolve existing issues.
