Banditry by Using Weapon in Armavir as well as Other Criminal Manifestations Disclosed; Charge Pressed against Two Residents of Same Province
In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of banditry by using weapon committed in Armavir town were found out. Charge was pressed against two residents of Armavir province, one of them being a juvenile.
As we have already informed, on March 21, 2019 with prior agreement on assault with the purpose of stealing somebody else’s property two masked persons, armed with hunting gun and pistol illegally entered the house of the resident of Armavir town, born in 1970. One of those having committed the alleged crime pointed the pistol towards the housewife, born in 1984, demanding to keep silence. The other entered the living-room where facing the landlord’s resistance fired from a hunting gun. However, the landlord pointed the gun upward directing the fired shot to the ceiling. Then the masked person hit the landlord on the head with a handle after which they escaped.
Through investigation conducted within the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Armavir Regional Investigative Department a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified; they are residents of Armavir province, born in 1998 and 2001.
In the result of comprehensive investigation a number of cases of theft, organizing theft and theft attempt, willful destruction or damage of somebody else’s property committed by the mentioned residents of Armavir province were also revealed. The criminal cases initiated on the mentioned cases were joint to the criminal case initiated on banditry and preliminary investigation is conducted in one proceeding.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old resident of Armavir according to the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 (4 counts), the Part 5 of the Article 38 and the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 (2 counts), the Part 5 of the Article 38 and the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-177 (3 counts), the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-177 (3 counts), the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-177, the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 177, the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 185, the Part 1 of the Article 185 (2 counts), the Points 1, 2 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177, the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 (2 counts), the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.
Charge was pressed against minor resident of Armavir province according to the Points 1, 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-177 (2 counts), the Points 1, 2, 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-177, the Points 1, 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-177, the Points 1, 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-177, the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
