Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder attempt committed against the resident of Dilijan G. Kokhlikyan is ongoing in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The person under persecution in the framework of the criminal case was found dead.
 

It was earlier informed that on August 6, 2016 at about 12:00 in the yard of one of the houses in the town of Dilijan, 44 year-old V. Yesayan fired towards his sister-in-law – 36 year-old G.Kokhlikyan with a firearm kept by him causing firearm injuries on the right part of the loins and escaped taking the firearm with him.
 

On August 6, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Dilijan Investigative Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. On August 7, 2016 a decision was made to involve the 44 year-old V. Yesayan as a defendant and search was declared against him.  
 

On August 22, 2016 V. Yesayan’s body was found at the forest area of the upper part of Shamakhyan district of Dilijan town. The firearm which was the crime tool was also found.
 

Inspection of the site was conducted, the firearm which was the crime tool, as well as the clothes V. Yesayan was wearing was confiscated.
