A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of Shavarsh and Shoghik Armenakyans. In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On May 13, 2016 at about 09:00 brother and sister Shavarsh and Shoghik Armenakyans were stabbed in their house during the row erupted on domestic affairs. Shoghik Armenakyan, born in 1987, died at the site of the injury she had sustained on the left dorsal back surface, her brother was taken to “Armenia” medical center with cut-pierced wound on the chest where he died without regaining consciousness.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder of two or more persons). By the decision of the Head of the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts S. Grigoryan an investigatory group headed by a senior investigator was created.
 

Inspection of the site was conducted during which a kitchen knife with blood-like traces was found, blood-like traces were found in the yard, living-room and bedroom, as well.
 

In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. Relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take measures to find the suspect and bring him to the investigative body.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
