In the result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, as well as operative-searching measures taken by the employees of the RA Police circumstances of murder of 40 year-old resident of Yerevan committed on November 1, 2021 were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 2001.

It should be added that during preliminary investigation of the mentioned criminal case a report was received from the employee of Shengavit Police Division informing that on November 1 while taking relevant measures at the scene – at 03:17, on his “Whatsapp” application he received a message with a content hindering to administration of justice and conducting investigation from the father of the person having committed the alleged crime.   

One more criminal case was initiated on the mentioned case in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district according to the Part 2 of the Article 332 of RA Criminal Code which was combined with the criminal case initiated on murder.

During preliminary investigation forensic medical, forensic ballistic, forensic biological, forensic chemical examinations were commissioned, the video cameras of the medical center were confiscated, a number of investigative and other procedural actions were conducted.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 20 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him. Charge was pressed against the latter’s father according to the Part 2 of the Article 332 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
