Charge Pressed against Director of «Centralized Library Complex of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district» CNCO for Squandering in Large Amount; Preliminary Investigation Completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on squandering in large amount by abuse of official position committed by the director of «Centralized Library Complex of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district» CNCO was completed in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
In the result of investigatory actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances were found out.
Thus, the CNCO director, holding the mentioned position from April, 2010, committed a number of squandering by using official position.
Pursuant to investigation data, from 2018 to 2019 the CNCO director reached agreement with the guard on not attending work and giving his salary card and password to her for her to receive his salary and other payments.
Besides, for the purpose of squandering in significant amount the CNCO director appointed another person as a librarian of the above-mentioned CNCO. However, the latter did not attend work but carried out event organizer's functions and the salary for the librarian was paid from February 20 to September, 2019, other payments were squandered.
As a result, salary of 1.692.310 AMD in total was calculated and paid which was squandered by the CNCO director causing Yerevan City Hall pecuniary damage.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the director of «Centralized Library Complex of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district» CNCO according to the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 179 (squandering or embezzlement) and the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 179 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
The damage caused by the latter was completely recovered.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
