Charge Pressed against Former Head of Personnel Management Department of RA NA Staff for Abuse of Official Authorities
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on apparent abuse of official authority or duties by a state official for mercenary interests, personal, other or group interests. Charge was pressed against the former head of Personnel Management Department of RA NA Staff.
Through preliminary investigation data were obtained on the allegation that the head of Personnel Management Department of RA NA Staff, holding the mentioned position from February, 2014, being an official performing state service of Staff of RA National Assembly and having organizational – managerial authorities, committed abuses while in office.
Particularly, being informed that that primary medical aid and service of the employees of RA National Assembly was tasked to one of the medical centers, also being informed that the doctor of Operation and Service Division of Logistics Department of NA Staff as well as the specialist for health care of the same division started to work in one of the medical centers, for personal and group interests, did not take any step to dismiss them from work or organize the compatibility process of their work in order to provide the employees who were in close relations with him with additional payment.
As a result, the doctor of Operation and Service Division of Logistics Department of NA Staff as well as the specialist for health care of the same division continued working getting salary and other payments which caused the legal interests of the NA Staff pecuniary damage in significant amount - 1.036.409 AMD.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the former head of Personnel Management Department of RA NA Staff according to the Part 1 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
