In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Charentsavan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against the Head and Deputy Head of Arzakan community for abusing official authority.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the Head of Arzakan community of Kotayq region N. Movsesyan directed the works of the committee formed for assessing the damage inflicted to the villagers in the result of strong wind in November, 2015 in order to determine the amount of compensation provided by the state. The committee inflated the real volume of the damage without doing appropriate measurements and based on them formed forged acts with added data.  On the base of the mentioned acts financial compensation was provided by the Regional Administration of Kotayq which was divided into 34 residents. According to preliminary investigation data, by the instruction of the Head of the community the Deputy Head collected money from the residents who had got compensation under the pretext of giving it to those who had not been involved in the list but had been affected by the wind.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the Head of Arzakan community N. Movsesyan and Deputy Head P. Khachatryan according to the Parts 1 of the Article 308 and the Article 314 of RA Criminal Code. They pled guilty. The damage inflicted to the state was restored.
 

Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
