A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing juvenile. In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is also a juvenile.

On November 5 a call was received from “University Hospital N 1 after Heratsi” informing that a 17 year-old young man with diagnoses of “cut-pierced, penetrating wound on the left part of the chest, left-handed pneumothorax, external bleeding, cut-pierced wounds on the left part of the back, coccyx region, external surfaces of the right and left thighs” was taken to medical center. The juvenile’s father submitted a report informing that his son had been stabbed.

On November 5, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.17 year-old man was found the injured party.

According to the certificate received from “University Hospital N 1 after Heratsi” the juvenile was in the reanimation department and was not able to give testimony.

Through inspection of the scene the knife which was the crime tool was found and confiscated.

Through preliminary investigation urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated, witnesses were questioned, forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Through investigation the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is also a juvenile. Charge was pressed against the latter according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code and signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary urgent investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
