Charge pressed against the 48 year-old resident of Stepanavan for using violence against investigators
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee the 48 year-old resident of Stepanavan was charged with violence against the investigators of Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department.
Through preliminary investigation it was found that on June 3, 2015 at about 23:30 the 48 year-old resident of Stepanavan started arguing with a group of persons in the crossroad of Baghramyan and Meghapart streets of Stepanavan. During the argument he willfully violated public order, disturbed traffic, showed evidently disrespectful attitude towards public. The participants of the argument scolded, used violence against one another, as well as hit one another with hands and feet.
The investigators of Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department noticed the mentioned incident. They approached the arguing men and representing themselves as investigators of RA Investigative Committee, demanded to stop the argument. But the 48 year-old man and other participants of the row used violence against the investigators inflicting them bodily damages.
Based on the obtained evidence the 48 year-old man was charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 and the Part 2 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
