Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on attempt of committing lecherous acts against a person under twelve and lecherous acts committed by a person over eighteen against a person under fourteen via electronic communication network was completed in the Department of Investigation of Crimes on Human Trafficking, against Sexual Immunity of Juveniles and Illegal Turnover of Drugs of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 26 year-old man.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances were found out.

Particularly, during preliminary investigation it was found out that the resident of Charentsavan town, born in 1994, registered a personal page in “facebook” social site in his name and intending to virtually satisfy his own sexual needs had immoral conversations with other users.

For this purpose he had correspondence with adult women of several ages via the mentioned personal page and sent them naked men’s photos as well as had immoral conversations.

Besides, through investigation data were also obtained that in spring, 2019 via his personal page the young man had correspondence with a juvenile girl, born on July 5, 2006 during which getting aware that he was in contact with a 12 year-old juvenile, he went on with communication and with the purpose of committing lecherous acts, satisfying his own sexual needs,  generating unhealthy sexual interest in the girl he had correspondence about sexual life and sent her naked photos of a man and a woman.

In the result of comprehensive investigation, data were obtained on attempt to commit lecherous acts against another juvenile, as well.

Thus, in June, 2019 26 year-old young man finding another victim in the same social site and thinking that he was having correspondence with 9 year-old child, born in September, 2009, intending to satisfy his own sexual needs via electronic communication network, irritate the child's sexual instinct and generate sexual interest, sent a naked person’s photo to the child’s page. However, going on with the correspondence he got informed that he was in contact with the child’s parent. So, he could not complete the crime under unforeseen circumstances.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the young man according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-142 and the Points 3 and 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 142 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
