Charge Pressed for Hitting Fellow Villager with Metal Bar

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to fellow villager was completed in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances of the case were found out.

Thus, on August 9, 2019 at about 08:00 a row on the area of cattle grazing was erupted between fellow villagers in the field near the village Apaven of Lori province. During the argument one of them, born in 1976, hit the fellow villager on the face with a metal bar causing heavy bodily damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 43 year-old resident of Lori according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
