In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to 24 year-old resident of Yerevan were found out. Charge was pressed against 22 year-old man.   

On September 30, 2019 at 00:50 a call was received in Shengavit Police Division from “Shengavit” medical center informing that the resident of Yerevan, born in 1995, with “cut-pierced wound on the right part of the chest” was taken to medical center where the latter told that he had sustained the mentioned injury in the park after Komitas because of falling down. Then the young man was taken from “Shengavit” medical center to “Astghik” medical center and pursuant to the reference received from the medical center he had sustained penetrating injury on the left part of the chest.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. By the decision of the head of the investigative division conduction of preliminary investigation of the criminal case was tasked to the investigatory group.

During preliminary investigation a number of people were questioned, inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical and forensic trace examinations were commissioned. 24 year-old man was found the injured party.

In the result of investigatory actions a number of circumstances were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1997.

Through investigation it was found out that on September 30, 2019 at about 00:10 in the park located at the middle part of Buzand and Aram Streets of Yerevan argument on financial issues took place between the mentioned residents of Yerevan during which 22 year-old young man, with the intend to cause bodily damage with a knife, stabbed once 24 year-old man on the left part of the chest causing heavy damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 22 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
