Charge pressed for procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against Artur Avetisyan, a criminal authority in Vanadzor, for illegal procurement, keeping of weapon and ammunition.
Through personal search a rifle of «Makarov» model of ИР 7172 factory number and 8 firearm bullets of 9 mm caliber were found with A. Avetisyan.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 36 year-old Avetisyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Investigation is conducted to find the source of procurement of the firearm, the police was tasked to take relevant operative-searching measures.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
